Why HapWare

We believe assistive technology should be intuitive, inclusive, and empowering. Designed with and for individuals who are blind, low-vision, or deaf-blind, HapWare combines haptic feedback and computer vision to support real-time access to non-verbal communication cues. We’re not just building wearable tech. We are building confidence, independence, and connection in everyday life.

Our product, AlEye, combines a lightweight pair of smart glasses with a discreet wristband. The glasses use AI to capture and interpret information from the environment, while the wristband instantly translates that information into unique vibration patterns. This makes it possible for blind and low vision users to “feel” what’s happening around them in real time.

With the AlEye companion app subscription, users can create personalized presets for various environments, such as commuting, working, or social settings, and practice vibration patterns to build familiarity. Together, the glasses, wristband, and app create a powerful, customizable tool that expands independence and accessibility.
